Opening her gifts from Daddy, Mommy, Sarah, and Silas...
A bag of new clothes... Phoebe held each thing up and looked at it.  She was happy with all of her new clothes!
She was especially excited about this new Ariel jacket that Eric and I got for her.  When she opened it she started to smile and happily said, "This is what I always be wanting!"
She also was excited to open this new Leapster 2 learning game system.  (Sarah got one for Christmas last year and doesn't like to share it very often with Phoebe.)  Now both girls can play their Leapsters and share the games.  Phoebe even made up a little song about this gift... "I got a new pooter... I got a new pooter."  she sang this over and over while she waited for Eric to get it out of the box and batteries in for her.

(Stupid Leap Frog company and Leapster 2.  The touch screen on the Leapster 2 decided to stop working less than a week after Phoebe opened it up on her birthday.  I am now in the process of going back and forth with the Leap Frog company about getting a replacement.  So very Very VERY frustrating for me and sad for Phoebe.  She just wants to play some games on her new "pooter".  She keeps getting it out and turning it on, to discover each time that, Oh yeah, it doesn't work anymore.)
Games for the Leapster 2 from Silas...
A "Llama Llama" book and a little Ariel party doll set from Sarah....
Phoebe picked to have ice cream and special toppings for her birthday dessert.  I took her to the store and she picked out an ice cream called Triple Brownie.  She also picked out a berry topping and rainbow sprinkles.  It was delicious!
Happy Birthday to our dear sweet Phoebe!  Happy Birthday to you! We all LOVE YOU so very much.  You are a little ray of sunshine in all my days.
When it was time for bed she took her new "pooter" with her and played games for about thirty minutes before shutting it off for the night and snuggling under her covers.  Good night sweet girl!

Princess Party

Phoebe picked to have a princess party this year.  Princess Phoebe wanted me to send out royal invitations to family members, a few family friends, and to two other princesses.  We invited them to our castle for cake, a game and fun!
Popee put his cake making and decorating skills to work again to create this amazing castle cake especially for Princess Phoebe!  THANKS Popee!
Grandma Sharon was in Kansas for a wedding so she got to join us for the party along with Popee and Nanee.
There were four princesses at Phoebe's party.  They all were very polite and played very nicely together.
All of the princesses and a few grown-ups played the "Put Cinderella in the window" game.

Phoebe seemed happy when we all sang "Happy Birthday" to her, twice, because we forgot to videotape it the first time.

Opening gifts from friends and family...

Phoebe got her favorite Monsters University stuffed character, "Squishy", from Popee and Nanee.
Representing the Aunts and Uncles... Uncle Matt got to come to the party...
Before bed that night, Phoebe, Sarah, and Daddy tried out the new "Goldie Blox" from Lindsee and EP.
Thanks to all those who came to Phoebe's party or sent her cards and gifts in the mail.  She had a great party!

Halloween Eve 2013

Happy Halloween from the Hendrickson family!
Phoebe picked to be a spider this year.  We had this costume saved from a few years ago... when Sarah was a spider.  In the weeks before Halloween when asked what she was going to be, Phoebe went back and forth trying to pick between a pumpkin and a spider.  She finally decided on the spider.  Then when we would ask her about what she was going to be she would tell us, "a pider because it doesn't fit Sarah anymore".  She was a very cute spider and did a good job holding her arms out to show off all her spider legs!  She enjoyed trick-or-treating this year, and walked around our neighborhood with Sarah, Popee, and me, ringing doorbells, saying "Trick-or-Treat" and "Thank You", and collecting a whole bucket full of candy.

Silas was a little Jack-O-Lantern or pumpkin.  His costume made him very off-balance and he fell down many times and had a little trouble getting back up.  He was smiley and wore his costume at our house for a little bit, let me take some pictures, and then went with us to trick-or-treat at Uncle Charlie and Aunt Wyonna's house, before taking his costume off for the night.

Sarah choose to dress-up like a Leopard Cat this year.  She likes to be dressed a little fancy and was definitely a Leopard Cat with some sass!  She wore her costume at school for the Halloween parade and party, then came home and wore it all evening.  She had a fun time walking around our neighborhood trick-or-treating too.  She kept saying "lets go to one more block" and "how about that house".  She ended up with a whole bucket full of candy as well, and couldn't wait to dump it all out and see just exactly what she had gathered up, then start eating it!

A Scarecrow (Popee) joined us for some pictures...
Our good friend, Debbie, made each one of us these donut spiders for a delicious Halloween dessert.  Yummy and Creative!
And, here are our kids' pumpkins... shining brightly on Halloween night.
