We used our wood-burning stove a lot in January. Both people and animals love to sit around it and enjoy the warmth.
Our cat and dogs love to be around us...especially at night, before bedtime they hang out in bedrooms and try to look cute so someone will want them to sleep in their bedroom.
We got enough snow to go sledding in early January. School was cancelled. We waited for Eric to get home from work and then we drove to a nearby hill for some fun.
Dad was at our house on a cold January day. He got all bundled up before going outside. He has started wearing a scarf which can serve as a hat too.
Look at that beautiful January snow and sunrise! Amazing work, God!
We had two Meadowlarks come to our birdfeeders.
The snow was especially beautiful at night around our house. It covered everything.
Lucy, Belle, and Gus had a meeting of the minds in the hallway one morning.
Sarah was nominated as a Homecoming candidate. I helped her make a "Burn Book" (from the movie Mean Girls) to use as a prop for the Winter Homecoming Pep Assembly. She and her walking partner, Vincent, had to create a handshake and walk into the assembly together. Each partner group picked a "Spirit Day" to represent as well. Sarah and Vincent picked "We Wear Pink on Wednesdays".
They looked amazing! Their handshake was definitely the best, most creative, and they got the most cheers. It was fun to get to be there to watch.
