**GUEST BLOGGER**

Over Spring Break I got to cook a dessert with Popee. I got a new American Girl cookbook for my birthday. We decided to make Apple-Blueberry Crisp.
The ingredients are old-fashioned rolled oats, brown sugar, all-purpose flour, salt, unsalted butter, Granny Smith apples, blueberries, granulated sugar, cinnamon, vegetable-oil spray, and vanilla ice cream (optional).
First we mixed up the crusty crisp part. This mixture is used for the bottom crust and on the top.
Next, we prepared the fruit. We peeled the apples and cut them up into tiny little pieces.
We washed the blueberries.
Popee is a good cook when it comes to desserts. We love to make desserts and eat them!
Then we mixed the fruit together and added in the cinnamon.
Then we layered the crust, fruit, and then more crust into a glass baking dish.
Last we baked it. This is the hardest part because you have to wait for it to come out so you can eat it.
We all tried it that night for dessert. It was delicious. If we make it again I might try using different fruits in it. I can't wait to bake with Popee again. He is a fun chef to bake with.
