Sale Weekend

**GUEST BLOGGER**
 ~ Eric Hendrickson ~

Well, I knew this day was drawing near.  With my grandma being in an assisted living facility and the house sitting vacant, the time had come for an estate sale.
The four siblings posed in front of the Bowers rock before four of us grandkids pulled it out.
Above, Nathan, Ken, myself, and Joseph.
The rock was a challenge to get out, even with four strong men and a tractor.
The rock was a piece of cake compared to the horseshoe trellis my grandpa made.  The four corners of the trellis were down in the ground about 30".  The rock and trellis will have a new home in Concordia at my Aunt's house.
We had a great turn out at the auction.
The tractor, truck and Cadillac all went for more than we expected.
You can see Paul and Dale (Stacee's Dad and Uncle).  They are the (2) guys to the furthest left in the picture above.
Above, my cousin Ann, my cousin's wife Kara, and Kara's mom posing with the old stole Kara bought.
Some of the great grand kids had a fun time playing together around grandma's house, yard, and across the street at the park that weekend.  Above, back row, left to right, Harlee, Sarah, and Phoebe.  Front row, left to right, Owen, Eden, Silas, and Eli.
Grandmas brother, Marvin came to the sale.  It is always good to see him.
Above, great grandkids, Eden, Eli, Sarah, Phoebe, Harlee, Silas, and Ty.  Below, grandkids and great grandkids that were able to be at the sale.
Below, grandkids and their spouses, left to right, Joseph and Erica, myself and Stacee, Ken, Nate and Ann, Nathan and Kara.
Before we left, my kids wanted to ring the bell one last time.  Phoebe and Sarah did it, but Silas clung to the pole.  He has issues with heights.
The Redbud tree behind the brothers and sisters was a favorite of mine to climb when I was a young boy.  There were many cool rocks around this tree and each of the siblings took one.  I am going to miss this place.  Grandpa and Grandma were an integral part of my life growing up.  I will cherish the memories.
