Daddy Dates 2021

Date with Sarah - January 30th
Mall, PetSmart, Menard's, Dairy Queen
The first Daddy date this year was with Sarah.  We decided to go people watching and to buy some stuff.

We drove the truck.
I embarrassed Sarah with a picture on the escalator at the mall.  Talk about some interesting people at the mall.  We walked by a group of girls that were dressed like cats.  I guess that is a thing.
We looked at some cute pets at Petsmart and then had dinner/dessert at Dairy Queen.

At Menards, we bought some stuff for our new cat, Lucy.  We finished our date by putting this cat tower together.  We had an enjoyable time.  It was a good start to the daddy dates 2021.
Date with Phoebe - February 5th
Hutton, Yokohama, Sweet & Saucy, Milk Float, Never Ending Story
We took little time for the next date as Phoebe and I went on a date the following week.
Phoebe and I went on a tour of the new Hutton office.  Phoebe was the first person in the family that received a tour.  I took the rest of the family on a tour a week later.  Below is a picture of my area.

This place in our office is called the Library (picture above).  This was Phoebe's favorite spot.
The Hutton office is in the Delano district.  After the office tour, we checked out some places in Delano.  The first place was where we ate supper, Yokohama.  I thought the food was really good and so did Phoebe.
I took a selfie of us with the new baseball stadium in the background.  It was Superbowl weekend so they had red lights shining.
Then we went to the candy shop, Sweet n Saucy.  Phoebe picked out a bunch of different taffys.

We then had dessert at Milkfloat.  I was too full to eat but Phoebe had a cookies and cream milkshake.
We finished off the date by going to Walmart to buy the movie, The Neverending Story, and we watched it at home.  Another successful date.
Date with Silas - March ?
All Star Sports, Taco Pronto, and Braums
Silas and I went on a date to the popular All Star Sports

We got most of our tickets smacking the clowns.

We ended up with over 2100 tickets.  Silas is saving them for a bigger prize.
Silas is a dangerous arcade race care driver.
We had never eaten at Taco Pronto before.  We thought it was pretty good.

We ended our date with some ice cream at Braums.
Date with Sarah - April 17th
Shopping, Eating, and the Matrix
Sarah and I were supposed to go to All Star Sports but the place was packed.  We decided to go shopping.

We didn't end up buying much.
On the way home from shopping we picked up some soup from Chick-Fil-A for dinner and some Blizzards from Dairy Queen for dessert.  After we ate, we watched one of the greatest movies ever, at least in my opinion, the Matrix.
Date with Phoebe - May 30th
Thunder Hockey Game and Braums
(Daddy Daughter Double Date)
Work handed out some free tickets to the Wichita Thunder hockey's last regular season game of the year.  Phoebe was excited to go and wanted to take a friend, so Shawna and Steve joined us.
We were in the nose bleed section about a dozen rows from the top of the arena, but I really enjoyed this view for a hockey game.  I have been to other hockey games where we sat closer, and found I preferred this view the best.  The blue lights happen when Thunder scores.  Everyone would get super excited with each score.
Phoebe enjoyed an Arena dog and fries.  It was a great game with the Thunder winning in overtime 4-3.  After the the game, we went to Braums for ice cream.  I had a great time on the first ever Daddy Daughter double date.
Date with Silas - September 10
The Alley and Braum's
It had been awhile since I had a date with one of the kids so I am glad Silas was persistent in asking me to take him to The Alley.
The Alley is a place that has a bowling alley, go carts, laser tag, and an arcade.
Silas and I chose to bowl and do the arcade (this decision was aided by the fact that we had a good coupon for these activities).
You can see how much Silas was enjoying bowling (not).
While playing games like Skeeball at the arcade, we also did this machine that simulated being on a roller coaster.
Silas used his 400 tickets from the arcade to get a few prizes.  We ended the date with a meal and dessert at Braums.
Date with Sarah - October 1st
The Mall and Dairy Queen
Sarah and I went on another mall date (Sarah loves to shop and loves to people watch).
Sarah got a clear phone cover and some jewelry.  The people watching wasn't quite as exciting as the last time we went.
Sarah wanted a blizzard and decided she wanted this new pumpkin spice flavor being advertised.  I pointed out to the cashier that I wanted a large of what was being advertised.  It turned out to be a shake, not a blizzard.

She still liked it though.
We finished our date by watching the movie, God's Not Dead.
