Labor Day Weekend 2022

Labor Day weekend we headed to Bella Vista, Arkansas to spend time with family.  We drove there on Friday, September 2nd and back home on Monday, September 5th.  Saturday morning when we got up we went to the marina and rented three kayaks for the day.  We spent a good portion of the day swimming, boating, and paddling around.
Dad even got in on the kayaking fun!
We had a few kayaking races....
The kids all took turns tubing while Uncle Ernie pulled them around the lake.
Silas and Will even got to help drive the boat.
We went on a short hike on the Tanyard Creek Nature Trail on Sunday morning.  The waterfalls were amazing!
The kids, and Lindsee, couldn't resist the water.  They tried sliding, splashing and swimming in the beautiful falls and creek.
Lindsee and I sure do love our Erics!  They are the best!
There was LOTS of jumping and diving off Ernie and Judy's dock.
Some of us had fun fishing from the dock and playing games in Ernie and Judy's long driveway.
Mom and Ernie's first cousin, Wanda, drove over to visit us all for part of the day Sunday  Below, Ernie, Judy, Wanda, Paul and Gloria.
The girls went with EP, Lindsee, and Will to the bat cave (Crystal Cave) on our last evening there.  It is always fascinating to watch, as the sun goes down, the bats rising out of the cave a few at a time and then hundreds emerging to fill the sky and look for their dinner.
We had a GREAT TIME!  It was so nice to just get to all be together, in a beautiful place, with all these people that I love so very much.  Thank you Uncle Ernie and Aunt Judy for hosting us all, for a nice place to stay, boat rides, meals, delicious homemade banana and peach ice cream, and all of the fun and laughs we shared.  It was good for my heart.  My kids (and all of us) always look forward to their time at your house and the times we share with you all.
On our way out of town we saw this cool KC Chiefs bus that my guys wanted a closer look at and I took a quick picture of them.  Go Chiefs!
