What We Did In July

We took a family trip to our family cabin in Colorado. We did lots of fun things while we were there.... Eleven Mile Canyon, Cripple Creek, a Wolf Sanctuary, Manitou Springs, hiking, games, and fishing.
We went to a Emporia Municipal Band concert with Dad, EP, Lindsee, and Will.  Silas and Will participated in a flag parade while patriotic songs were played.

The kids and I spent a day at the lake with Dad, Lindsee, and Will.  It was a super hot July day, so we all enjoyed swimming to cool off.  The kids all rode in the tube.  Then Lindsee, Sarah, and I all skied.

We used the Sunflower App a few times to get in free to a few places around Wichita.
The Sedgwick County Zoo....
The Museum of World Treasures....
And, Exploration Place....
At the Exploration Place there was a new CIRCUS display/learning area.  We had a lot of fun in it, dressing up, laughing, tight-rope walking, and acrobating.
Lindsee and Sarah both tried tight-rope walking.
Silas tried being an acrobat.
Silas was also picked out of the audience to help with a science experiment during a science show at the Exploration Place.
Eric took Phoebe and Sarah Kayaking on the river near our house.  They had a lot of fun.  We need to get a couple more kayaks so more than two of us can go at a time.
We took a vacation to Branson at the end of July. Dad went with us and we got to celebrate his 74th birthday together while we were there.  We spent time at Silver Dollar City, the Sights and Sounds Theater, the College of the Ozarks, and Top of the Rock, Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail, and the Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum.
