We were all happy to hear that Phoebe had made the 8th grade A volleyball team. After some practices together, it was decided that she would be the setter again for her team this year. Phoebe worked hard all season. She did well setting, serving, and occasionally spiking. Phoebe and her friend, Haylee were voted by their teammates as the MVP's of the team this year. This is the second year in a row for Phoebe to be awarded the MVP award by her teammates. (FULL Mommy HEART moment.)
Her team had a hard time throughout the season... It seemed like they would play really well for a set, and then the next set look like they hadn't played together before. They finally got a win though, the last game of regular season against Haysville Middle School, the other middle school from our town. To end the season they played their BEST volleyball of their entire season! It was amazing! They came together to get the job done and they got it done, beating out two other teams, then playing a close game against the best team in the league, and ending their season with a 3rd place finish in the league tournament. It was a fun day for these seven girls and their parents and families cheering them on.

Below, are a LOT of pictures that we took throughout the volleyball season, in no particular order.
Popee was able to come to both Phoebe and Sarah's first home games of the season and several other games throughout the season.
Above, good friends, Shawna, Ana, Haylee, and Phoebe. These friend's parents can't wait for them all to play together, on the same team, next year in high school.
Below, Phoebe with one of her best friends since Kindergarten, Haylee. The last practice of the season the girls had "White Lie" day. They each had to write a lie on a white t-shirt and wear it to practice. Haylee's white lie was "I can't jump serve." Phoebe's white lie was "I'm the LOUDEST one on the team!"
Above, Sarah, Coach Hunt, and Phoebe. Coach Hunt coached both our girls on the HWMS 8th Grade A Volleyball team. Thanks Coach Hunt!
