First Session - March 6th
Silas got to play first base on the first night. This meant a lot of catching a throwing as each child got a chance to hit and run the bases. He did great scooping balls up, and going after balls that weren't thrown right to him.
He has been practicing playing baseball in our backyard with his sisters and Daddy a lot lately, so was prepared to hit. He lined up and swung hard, blasting the ball off the tee.
Great first session. Go Team!
Second Session - March 13th
Silas did another great job hitting on his second night.
Eric helped out by sitting by second base to make sure they knew where the base was, and telling the kids when to run to third.
Silas liked hitting and running to second because he knew he would get a big high-five from Daddy everytime.

Third Session - March 20th
Up to bat again... Silas Hendrickson!
Popee and Nanee were able to come and watch Silas during session three. He liked having them there to cheer him on and to see how much he has improved.
Last Session - March 27th
Silas's friend, Abigail, was in Blast Ball again with him this year. He likes having a friend there. They talked and cheered for each other.
Silas got to play first base again at the last session. He got in his ready position and stayed focused trying to catch the ball and touch first base quickly.
He had a monster hit at his second at bat, slamming the ball straight at and past me while I tried to take an action picture (which came out completely blurry) of him.
Way to go slugger! More high-fives from Daddy as he got to second base...
At the end of the session each child got a cookie and and new bat and ball to take home with them.
