Party On

We had reserved the local community pool for Silas's birthday party on August 9th, but the weather did not cooperate for an outside party. At 6:00 pm it started to lightning, thunder and pour down rain and continued for the next few hours. Eric and I scrambled to move the party indoors. He called a local Burger King that we knew had a big indoor play area for kids to see if we could all come there. (We were expecting around 50 people!) Yes, was the answer from Burger King. Hallelujah! Then we called everyone to let them know that the party was still on, but the location had changed.

We packed that playplace with smiles, fun, food, and friends! Pictured below: Austin, Zach, Jordan, Hayley, Eric, Sarah, Silas, Phoebe, Sophia, Quinn, Jenny, Kylie, Hannah, Gavin, Andrea, Gabby, Erin, Leslie, Kali, Madilyn, Rhyan, Drew, Jackson, Haylee, Kris, Shay, and Chloe. Not pictured: Stacee, Popee, Nanee, Dale, Jan, Charles, Wyonna, Dan, Debbie, and Johannah.

The birthday boy was happy and had a fantastic time playing with all of his friends that night. We had a big chocolate cake from Dillons, cupcakes, and watermelon.

He got a lot of nice gifts from his friends and family.... including two fidget spinners and a magic cube from some of our softball friends who knew it was JUST WHAT HE WANTED. Ha!

There was a cool Cars 3 Lego set from Nanee and Popee and some Cars 3 Crashers from the Haylee, Gavin, Jenny, and Jon that Silas was very excited about!

All of the kids played for almost two hours on the play equipment, climbing, sliding, and crawling all around throughout the tunnels, platforms, nets, and slides.

Some cousins came to the party too. Sarah was taller than Austin and Jackson in April at Easter time. Jackson has taken over the lead now by just a tiny bit. I bet Sarah will pass back by him by Christmas time!
