Eleven Years Old ~ Interview

What is your favorite color?

My favorite color is yellow.

What makes you happy?

I am happy when it snows.

What are you scared of?

I am scared of ghosts.

What is your favorite holiday? Why?

I like Christmas because it is Jesus birthday and you get gifts.

What is your favorite season? Why?

I like winter because it has Christmas time and because it's cold and it might snow.

What are some of your favorite foods?

My favorite foods are shrimp, pepperoni pizza, the pink salad, chocolate, and beef jerky.

What are some of your favorite desserts?

I like cake and ice cream.

What are some of your favorite drinks?

I like Coke and Dr. Pepper and Root Beer.

What is your favorite show/movie?

I like to watch Fuller House and scary movies like the Hunger Games.

What are some of your favorite songs?

I like to listen to the songs "Kings and Queens" and "Blinding Lights".  Right now I like to listen to the radio stations 105.3 the BUZZ and 97.3 Christmas with Delila, and 90.7 Christian music.

What kinds of books do you like to read?

I like the book called "The Book of Elsewhere", "Faith Girls Princess in Camo" books by Mia and Missy Robertson, and books about dogs.

What is one of your favorite stories from the Bible?

I like the story of Noah and the Ark.  Noah built the Ark.  He was a Christian and he listened to God.

Where would you like to take a trip to?

I would like to go to Alaska.

Where would you like to live when you grow up?

I would live in Branson so that I could go to Silver Dollar City almost everyday.

If you had $1000, what would you do with it?

I would save it to buy something good...like a house.

What do you like about 5th grade/school this year?

I like reading and my teacher, and I like recess and lunch.

What do you dislike about 5th grade/school this year?

I don't like wearing a mask.  And I didn't like that we couldn't play on the playground equipment or have balls to play with for awhile.

Who are some of your best friends?

My friends are Haylee, Allesandra, Shawna, Taityn, and Abigail.

Our Birthday Girl

Phoebe turned 11 early in November.  The day before, our family went to Tanganyika Wildlife Park for Phoebe to have an early birthday present from us... She had been wanting to do the Sloth Encounter/Experience there, so we booked it for a day that our kids had no school and our family headed out for a fun afternoon together.

That evening she got to have one of her best friends spend the night.  Haylee came over and ate dinner with us (Spangles), they played outside together, did some crafting, and watched a couple movies together.  Haylee gave Phoebe a Hobby Lobby gift card for her b-day. (Thanks Haylee!) The next morning I made birthday pancakes for everyone, and the girls played outside together a little more before Haylee went home.

That afternoon, on Phoebe's birthday, the girls and I met our friends at a ceramic tree painting class.  We each got to pick our tree colors, lights, and stars.  Shawna gave Phoebe some candy, and some Barbie outfits for her b-day. (Thanks Traci, Steve, and Shawna!) All of our ceramic trees turned out different and looked so amazing!

After our tree painting class we met our friends for birthday dinner.  Phoebe picked for us all to eat at Red Lobster.  We ate a delicious meal  She ate a lot of shrimp...one of her favorite things to eat, and the servers brought out a dessert and we all sang "Happy Birthday" to her.  Abigail gave her a cute new shirt. (Thanks, Mandy, David, Abigail and Felicity!)

A server took a Lobster out of the aquarium for the kids to touch and hold if they wanted to.  Abigail was the only one brave enough to hold it.

That evening back at home, Phoebe opened her presents from us.  Eric and I gave her a Frozen Lego set and a computer.  She got a new necklace from Grandma Sharon.

Silas and Sarah gave Phoebe the Barbie Chelsea Camper set.

Phoebe requested a chocolate cake with the whip cream icing from Dillons for her birthday cake this year.

Happy 11th birthday to one of the sweetest girls in our world! You are intelligent, gentle, determined, patient, happy, and compassionate.  You are a quiet leader, and someone who strives to please others.  You are a good friend, so caring and kind! You are fun to be with.  You make me smile and laugh.  You like to dance and sing.  The people in your life who really know you ARE BLESSED by you! We love you, Phoebe, so very much!

A few days later a package came in the mail from Uncle Eric, Aunt Lindsee, and Will.  They sent LOTS of new earrings!  And Aunt Andrea, Uncle Bret, Kallin, and Ayden sent a gift card to her.  Thanks Uncles, Aunts, and cousins!

Popee and Nanee came for a short visit and gave Phoebe her birthday gifts from them.  Thanks Popee and Nanee!
