Sarah tried out for the high school volleyball team in August. She made the JV team and played the back row for this season for her team. To start off the season, there was a Fall Sports Preview. The JV team played against the Varsity team. These games were fun to watch. Varsity ended up winning, but JV played hard and gave the Varsity girls a challenge. Sarah had a few fans, Lindsee, EP, and Will, and us there to cheer her and her teammates on that evening.
Will wanted his picture taken with his most favorite two players, his cousin Sarah, and his swimming lessons teacher Mack.
This JV team had a great season. They could play well together and had fun together. They won a lot of games, and have great potential to be a hard-to-beat team next year/season. Below, are lots of pictures from throughout this volleyball season, in no particular order.
Sarah had some of her biggest fans at these home games....
Sarah's fans tonight included: Mrs. Leeper and her daughter, Hayley, and Popee, and Nanee. She was so happy to have them all there to watch her play.
Also, in the stands that night were Aunt Lindsee, Phoebe, Haylee, Silas, Eric, and Stacee.
Sarah's team played in three tournaments throughout the season. Each tournament had 10 teams in it, and each time our JV team took 4th place.
Eric helped judge the lines for a few games during this tournament.
Sarah played hard in the last tournament of the season on Saturday, October15th. Below, with her fan club that day, Phoebe, Silas, Sarah, Patti, Popee, EP, Will, Lindsee, and Eric. Not pictured, because I am almost always the picture taker, Stacee.
The last game of games of the season were on Tuesday, October 18th. They played well that night and won in an exciting third game thriller.
The last week of volleyball practice the girls had a lot of fun... They had "wear anything but vball shorts day", "bring anything but a water bottle day", "crazy hair day", "white lie day", and "costume day".

Sarah had a fantastic season! At the end of the season party, Sarah was awarded the "HEART and HUSTLE" award (nominated and voted on by her teammates).
