Sarah - Junior Year Basketball

Sarah tried out for the high school basketball team and made the Varsity team again this year. She worked hard for Coach Allen this season.  She was one of the tallest girls on the team this year, but several other teams that we played had more height than our team. Sarah had to work very hard under the basket this year going against some of these very tall girls. She did well rebounding, passing/looking for the open girls underneath, and had great assists. Sarah is a good teammate. She is tough on the court and is a good leader among her peers. She shows integrity and looks out for her teammates. She leads by example and is a good friend. Good job, Sarah!  We love watching you play basketball and are so very happy when you do well and when we get to see you help others be successful too.
Sarah and her friend, Abby, were the team captains this season.  This meant that before each game they were included in a brief meeting with the refs. Below, are a LOT of pictures from throughout the entire 2023/2024 basketball season. For home games our team wore white and away games they wore black. Sarah was number 23.
Uncle Dale was able to make it to a few of Sarah's home and away games this season to help cheer her and her teammates on.
Below, two flyers that were created with Sarah's pictures on them, to advertise some home games.
Silas and some of his friends joined in the high-five line before each Campus boy's games. As players were announced they would run down the line of students waiting to high-five them before the tip-off.
Campus "the Ville" Colts flags were sold as a fundraiser at the beginning of the season.  Silas and Nayte brought theirs back to each home game to wave around during the games while they were cheering for the girls and boys.  Then after each home game they would try to collect the varsity players signatures on their flags.
Below, at the last home game before Christmas break, Sarah had a BIG cheering section. Left to right, Hannah, Jason, Brynlee, Sarah, Nayte, Silas, Noah, Stacee, Eric, Phoebe, Shawna, and Popee.
Above, Sarah and one of her all-time biggest fans in the history of ever, POPEE! If he couldn't be at one of the games this season, you bet he was still watching it live on his IPAD from home. (BEST POPEE EVER!)
Will got a Campus "the Ville" Colts flag too! He really got into waving it around and jumping up and down to cheer for Sarah and the other Campus Colts players.
At one of the last home games of the season, Jax and Nayte showed up with signs that they had both made to cheer on Sarah.  Love it!  Thanks friends!
Popee missed being present at a couple weeks of games due to having his total hip replacement surgery, but Lindsee was able to bring him to the last game of the season. on Friday, February 23rd.
