Christmas Eve we have a tradition of opening gifts from Grandma Sharon. We have done this for many years, and it is something fun we do together when we get home from Christmas Eve church services.
The girls got jewelry. Silas got chocolates, a pillow, and a blanket. Eric got a shirt and I got a scarf.
Christmas morning Silas was the first one in our family up. He woke up Phoebe and then they woke up Sarah. We all headed downstairs to look in our stockings.
In the stockings we found snacks, candy, cd's, games, lotion, and jewelry.
Silas and Phoebe passed out the presents and we took turns unwrapping our gifts. Phoebe made each of us some great crocheted gifts.
We got the cat some treats and the dogs got new bones.
Sarah painted me a chicken Christmas picture. I love it!Silas got each of us a bunch of snacks and drinks that he thought we would each like.
Sarah made new Bible verse pictures for the book she created for Eric many years ago.
Sarah gave Phoebe some Grinch lotions and lip balms.
Sarah got me some pajamas, fridge magnet clips, and a hot chocolate mug.
Phoebe got me cookie cooling racks, and some candy. She crocheted me some great new hot pads and a cute little wreath ornament.
Phoebe picked out a bookmark, hammer pen, and a new book for Eric.
Sarah got Silas a new water bowl that looks like part of a log for his Toad.
And, Phoebe gave Sarah new highlighters and a cooling mask.
We got a lot of nice gifts from each other. Our kids our growing so fast. I love that we can all be at home together on Christmas morning and enjoy being with each other. Later in the day Eric and I made a delicious Christmas day meal for our family...ham, scalloped potatoes, pink salad, creamy corn, stuffing, and pumpkin pie.
