Summer Branson Trip

We took a fun trip to Branson, Missouri in mid-July. We have Silver Dollar City season passes so we wanted to go during the "Summer Celebration" time there. It is a time when SDC stays open late (10 pm) every night and they have a drone show and fireworks to end each night at the park. We also had tickets to attend the production of DAVID at the Siights and Sounds Theatre. We let Sarah invite her best friend, Jax, to go along with us. She has traveled with our family before and gets along well with all of us. We enjoy having her around, so we wanted to get to spend some extra time with her before she and Sarah head off to college in August. 

Day One - Friday, July 18th

Drive to Branson, lunch at McDonald's, check into Brookwood Inn (hotel), Silver Dollar City, dessert at our hotel

Day Two - Saturday, July 19th

Sights and Sounds Theatre - DAVID, swimming, eat at Steak N' Shake, Silver Dollar City, dessert at our hotel

Day Three - Sunday, July 20th

Silver Dollar City, swimming, eat at Cracker Barrel, back to Silver Dollar City, dessert at our hotel

Day Four - Monday July 21st

What were your favorite/most memorable things from our time at Silver Dollar City?

ERIC - I enjoyed our after-concert discussion with the guys from the group Spoken Four.

STACEE - I loved hearing one of my favorite singing groups, Spoken 4 sing one of my favorite songs, "RATTLE". We also watched the drone/fireworks show all three nights we were at SDC. It was set to get music and was so amazing every single night.

SARAH - When Jax rode Fire In the Hole with us and on the first time she about squeezed my hand off...and then by the third time we rode, she had her hands in the air.

PHOEBE - My favorite part was riding all of the roller coasters and the Tea Cups.

SILAS - The Spoken 4 Quartet and the ride Mystic River Falls.

JAX - Being at Silver Dollar City and hanging out with all of y'all and riding the rides.

What did you enjoy most about the Sights and Sounds Theatre production of "DAVID"?

ERIC - "MOSES" was the most impressive production, but the singing and spiritual power of "DAVID" was the best production yet.

STACEE - "DAVID" was so good! 10/10! Everyone should see it while it is in Branson. The story of David came to life in front of us. The music throughout the entire show was super!

SARAH - I liked it all.

PHOEBE - I don't have a favorite part, because I liked the whole thing.

SILAS - The David and Goliath scene and how he would sing the battle belongs to the Lord.

JAX - The DAVID play was really cool cause it was like surrounding you and felt you were in the scene that they were doing.
