Thanksgiving 2025

We headed down to Fort Worth on Wednesday for the Hendrickson family Thanksgiving.  Owen came with us.
We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.
My mom asked if we could help with making the Thanksgiving meal.  We all put on our aprons and went to work.
The kids did the mashed potatoes.
Uncle Tom and I handled the meat, casseroles, stuffing, etc. (basically anything that went into the oven)
Silas wanted the famous "Hastings Pink Salad", so he helped Stacee make it. And, Stacee handled all the desserts...she baked for a couple days prior to us driving to Fort Worth. She made a banana bake, a pumpkin cake, a mixed berry pie, sugar cookies, no-bake cookies, and a fresh fruit salad. Phoebe and Sarah helped some and all the kids helped decorate the fall-themed sugar cookies.
I was pretty impressed with our efforts.
The guys watched football.  It was disappointing to see the Chiefs lose to the Cowboys.  Bret and Marc didn't rub it in too hard.
Some of us played card games (UNO and Old Maid). And, the kids walked to the park a couple times to play there. Bret also set up his cornhole game in Mom's backyard and several of us played.

My family, minus myself and Silas, went Black Friday shopping at 5am.
On our drive back home, we stopped at Bass Pro, Academy, and Ross for some Black Friday deals.
We made it to Lucien, Oklahoma by 5:30 to celebrate Thanksgiving with Gloria's side of the family. We ate good food there and got to visit with some of Gloria's first cousins and their kids, and Ernie.
Psalm 107:1 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!"
