Sarah's class finished up their letters this month with the letter z. Sarah seemed especially excited to be finishing the alphabet. After finishing the letter z, they have been reviewing each letter, practicing writing, recognizing, and making each letter sound.
They continued to work on recognizing numbers, writing numbers, counting and starting to read number words.
Sarah's class took a trip to the Wichita Water Works in April. It was a chilly day outside for exploring the water and nature areas, but inside there was plenty to do. Phoebe and I went along too. The girls liked looking at different bones and shells in the museum part of the Water Works. They also liked the challenge of trying to find a few black and blue beads hidden in a jar of one million yellow beads.
Sarah's favorite thing that she got to do at the Water Works was searching in this dishpan for water creatures. She found a snail and a water worm, and was able to capture both using a plastic spoon and a little suction tool.
Sarah's class is learning about being a good friend. They also are doing Spring activities like planting seeds and talking about what helps plants to grow.
This is a caterpillar that Sarah made. She was very excited to show us its face and all of the little blue hats that she had glued on for it to wear.
