Hallelujah Yippie Kie Yay!

Dress rehearsal was last Saturday at our church for the cowboy musical, "Hallelujah Yippie Kie Yay".
The rehearsal went alright.  Everyone was as prepared as they could be for the performance on Sunday morning.  Eric played the part of Old Hoss.  There was also an Old Moss and an Old Pete.  Sarah was a cowgirl.  She had a solo singing part with her friend, Lydia.
"I see your beauty all around me, open skies and roll'in rivers, it never ceases to astound me to watch an eagle soar, I adore you, Jesus.  The rushing winds echo your power, mighty mountains speak your splendor, the colors of a cactus flower, sing from the desert floor, I adore you, Jesus.  All nature joins me in your praises, towering trees lift up their branches, the music of the night embraces my heart forever more, I adore you, Jesus." - Old Hoss (Eric), Old Moss, Old Pete, and their young counterparts sang this song together.  It was beautiful.
Last song of the musical... "When I'm roam'in the range there's noth'in  I'd change, I'm a cowboy, I love what I do; And I'll tell you why I'm rid'in so high, Cause I know that I'm just pass'in through.  Home heaven's my home, where my trail's gonna lead by and by; There's coming a day when I'll hear Jesus say, "Join the big round-up here in the sky." I've always been told that the trails are pure gold, and I'll turn in my hat for a crown; I can't wait to see all that's wait'in for me, It's good to know I'm heaven bound. Home heaven's my home, where my trail's gonna lead by and by; There's coming a day when I'll hear Jesus say, "Join the big round-up here in the sky."
Sunday morning, ready for the musical to start...
Everyone did a great job... they remembered their lines, their solos, where to stand on the stage, and smiled!
Sarah and Lydia sounded great singing... "Whenever I am feel'in blue I know exactly what to do, I think of all the Lord has done, and count his blessings one by one.  Soon I'm so happy I could pop, I wanna sing and never stop, I wanna dance until I drop, my heart's so full of joy.  Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah!  Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! The Lord loves me and I love him too.  I'm gonna spend eternity, prais'in the Lord who cares for me, look in my eyes and you will see, my heart's so full of joy.  Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah!  Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! The Lord loves me and I love him too.  Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah!  Yodeladeehoo! Yee Hah! Yodeladeehoo! The Lord loves me and I love him, I'm always think'in of him, the Lord loves me and I love him, too."
Ready for the round-up!
After the performance, we took some pictures on stage with some of the props....
Nanee and Popee were able to come and watch the musical.  Sarah was very excited to have them there watching her and clapping for her.
Yee Hah!  Hallelujah!
