Colorado Day Five

Day five in Colorado happened to be the 4th of July!  We started out the morning watching the parade down Main Street in Breckenridge.  There were a lot of bike riders, some floats, a few horses, and other various parade things.  There was some candy throwing and beaded necklace throwing.
Next we walked down the street to the concert area.  We wanted to check out the area were a 4th of July FREE Nitty Gritty Dirt Band concert was going to be held.... We found out the concert would be inside at 2:00, and the doors would open for anyone wanting a seat at 1:30.  This meant about two hours of waiting to be one of the first in line to get a seat inside for all of us.... So, Eric took Phoebe back to the condo for awhile and the rest of us waited.... When the line started to form, my sister jumped to the front! (Go Lindsee!)  Sarah got in line with her and waited patiently for about 45 minutes until the doors were opened and the two of them rushed in to get seats for us all.  They did it!  We were about 15 rows from the front in the middle section, on the aisle.  GREAT SEATS!  When we sat down, I got to sit next to my Dad.... He turned to me, with a big smile, and said, "This is awesome!"  He couldn't wait for the concert to begin.
Here are Sarah and Phoebe before the concert.  Of course, they had no idea who the band was, but when the music started so did the dancing from these two cuties!  They both liked it and thought it was especially fun when Lindsee and Daddy took them both right up front to dance with them to a fun fast song!
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was great!  They played song after song for just about two hours, with no intermission.  We all had such a good time!  My favorite song that they performed was, of course, "Fish'in In The Dark".
After the concert we headed back to the condo.  Phoebe and Sarah both got tired of walking so Eric carried them both for awhile.  What a good Daddy.
Later, in the early evening, Eric, Lindsee, Dad and I went out to walk around and look in some of the little shops.  One of my favorite shops to go in was called Marigolds.  It had a lot of vintage and repurposed things along with old quilts and wall hangings.  By clicking here on the words Marigolds Farmhouse Funk and Junk you can view their facebook page and see some of their pictures of neat things in their shop.
Happy 4th of July!
