Christmas at the Kinloch Price Boys Ranch

**GUEST BLOGGER**
~ Eric Hendrickson ~ (my husband)

For over a year and a half I have been visiting/mentoring at Youth Horizons Kinloch Price Boy's Ranch for troubled teenage boys.  On December 9th, we celebrated our second Christmas together.

Pictured above: left to right, Chris (red jacket), Brian (Brian is one of the house parents.), Jon (back), myself, Eric (front), and Jaz (wildcat shirt).
Chris, in the Chiefs jacket, has been at the ranch since I have been going out there. I am excited to say that he has recently been adopted and left for his new home on December 16th. Thankfully, Chris will still be in the Wichita area.
Over the past year and a half we have seen a lot of boys come and go.  We met 3 knew arrivals this night (Zamien with present high in the air, Shaun (not pictured) and Devin (not pictured).
We had a potluck chili dinner.  Jonathan, JD, and I can make some good chili.  I don't like to brag, but I was told mine was the best, (by my wife...who only tried mine.)  We gave gifts of new basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and board games for each of the two Ranch houses.
In these pictures we are singing Christian and Christmas songs while Carl and Brian played the guitars.  Some of the boys were out playing basketball. I guess we should have waited to open gifts until after the singing.
Our families came with us again this year for the party.  They enjoyed meeting and interacting with the guys.
The core group: Jonathan, JD, Carl, and I
Except for the two guys in the brown coats, the remainder of the guys are either youth, staff, or mentors at the Ranch.  Josh (far left) is staff.  Eric and Zamien are kneeling in the front.  Jon (glasses), Shaun (stocking hat), Chris (CHIEFS!), Markiest (blue shorts), Matthew (maroon shirt), Joe (short with white T-shirt), Emerson (tall with white T-shirt), Devin (Ron Baker look alike), (Jaz and Josh were not present for the picture).

Thank you men for being a blessing in my life.  Your future is bright.  God bless you all.
