On the Saturday before Easter, we went fishing out at our friend's pond near Emporia. The Bluegill weren't biting, so I decided to try and catch some Bass.
As you can see, Silas was quite interested in the Bass catching. When we go to Cabelas, he loves to look at the Bass in the tank.
I had to use the pliers on this one. It was fun showing Silas how to get the hook out.
I couldn't get Silas to hold the Bass, but he did touch it.

The girls loved petting the dogs. Above, Mitch was enjoying a break from working in his garden.
My wrist was hurting from catching about 20 Bass between 1-4 lbs, so I let Silas and Sarah each reel one in.
Sarah wasn't afraid to hold a Bass.
Its been awhile since I Bass fished, and I really enjoyed it. I will take Mitch up on fishing at his pond again. Thanks Mitch.
