We found this toad last year in the window well. This year when it was getting warmer we kept looking in there. Then one day we found it in there again.
Daddy climbed down to get him. When he was getting him the toad pee'd. I was the first one who held him when Daddy brought him out. He felt rough. And on his underpart he felt soft.
The toad kept climbing on my arm and siting there. It kept making little squeaky noises.
First Phoebe and Silas wanted to look at it. Then Phoebe decided she wanted to try holding it.
(Below) This is Phoebe's hands holding it and my hand is blocking it from jumping out of her hands.
Then Silas got brave enough to touch it without squealing and running away.
Then Silas got braver and he held it! I was just helping him a little bit.
And then he got braver and he held it by himself but I put my hands under so it wouldn't fall and get hurt.
Then Silas got BRAVER and he decided he didn't want me to put my hands under his. He wanted to hold it all by himself.
Then he started to pick the toad up all by himself! Every time Silas picked it up and held it he got really happy. But I am not sure the toad was....
