Gifts With Family

We went to my parents house on December 26th.  We opened presents there that evening after dinner.  Sarah, Phoebe, and Silas passed out all the packages.  Then we took turns opening them, one present each, from youngest to oldest, over and over until they were all opened.
There was way too many presents, just like every year.  There was some talk of a 20 second time limit per gift, but this rule was not enforced.  Ha!
Silas got Hungry Hungry Hippos from Popee and Nanee.  He had been asking for this game for months.
Sarah got the Lego Friends Airplane set, (one of a couple sets that she had been looking at every time we went to Wal-Mart).  Thanks Aunt Lindsee and Uncle EP.
Our girls sure do love Barbies and Barbie things... They couldn't wait to open the Barbie Farm Vet and Barbie Flippn' Fun Gymnast sets.
The Erics (Eric H. and Eric P.) sat by each other and shared lots of laughs about how slow we were opening presents, who's turn it was, posing for and taking pictures of people with their presents, and general Eric stuff.
Lindsee and EP got all of us lots of MS gear.  I especially loved my new Orange MuckFest solo cup, my MS Buffalo shirt and my orange MS sunglasses.  Phoebe was excited about the Moana Lego set from Aunt Lindsee and Uncle EP.  (Phoebe actually is really good at opening a gift and then turning to pose with the gift for a multitude of pictures.  Her happy and excited faces are perfect.)
Eric needs to work on his posing for pictures with his gift skills, but he was genuinely excited and happy about his new K-State grill cover.  He kept exclaiming that it was such a great gift and something that he really did need.  How did Paul and Gloria ever know?????  Must have been a little bird passing on some ideas in this family....A little bird named your wife.
Dad was happy about some more ammo for target shooting.
Silas got a cool, and fast, remote control car from Uncle Matt.
EP and Lindsee got some Denver Bronco gear from us.
Sarah got another one of the Lego Sets on her list from Uncle Matt, the Disney Frozen Ice Castle.  Lindsee got a new Ultimate Frisbee duffel bag from Dad and Mom.  I suggested she wear it as a backpack when she was riding her bike.  She tried it on to be sure it would work.
Sarah made pot holders for several family members this year for Christmas.  Matt got a pretty blue and white one from her, and some orange MS sunglasses from Lindsee and EP.
I made calendars for several people like I always do with pictures from all throughout the last year.  I think EP's smile says he really likes this calendar gift, or he's a good gift poser like Phoebe....
More gifts from the kids wish lists... Superheros for Silas from Popee and Nanee, and Finding Dory Guess Who? for Phoebe from Uncle Matt.
Eric gave me the "Cowboy Take Me Away" hoodie for Christmas.  And, we gave Lindsee one too!  She loved mine, AND hers!
Aunt Judy and Uncle Ernie had some gifts for the kids and one gift for our family.  We each had a part in opening the family gift.  Sarah pulled out an envelope....
Phoebe pulled out another envelope....
And Silas pulled out yet another envelope which he handed to Eric and I to open.  Inside was a yearly family pass to the Exploration Place in Wichita!  Yay!  This is a GREAT gift!  Our kids especially enjoy going to Exploration place and will love getting to go there over the next year many many times.
Sarah had a gift for Aunt Judy and Uncle Ernie... a pot holder and a picture.  She had Ernie do his famous guessing game of "Carnac says" (like Johnny Carson) to guess what might be in the gift from her before he opened it.  I am convinced he is a genius or has x-ray vision.  Either way I am glad I am related to him!
The girls opened their last gift from Popee and Nanee at the same time... American Girl Truly Me dolls!!!
These dolls will get lots of love and care from these to look-a-likes.  Thanks Popee and Nanee!
Thank you, family, for the wonderful gifts!  It was a fun time, like always, lots of laughs and smiles all around.
