The kids and I were at Dad and Mom's house the morning of Silas's 7th birthday in August. Dad had the breakfast table all set with some special birthday signs, plates, and doughnuts.
Happy Birthday, Silas Paul!
Dad even had a candle in Silas's doughnut for him to blow out.
Later that morning we played some rounds of darts out in the garage.
Mom was the official score keeper.
Back at home that evening, Silas picked for our family to eat a birthday dinner at Cracker Barrel.
After dinner, back at home he opened his presents. He received some packages in the mail from family members too.

Some new K-State and Emporia State hoodies from Daddy and Mommy.
Lots of baseball cards from Sarah....
Mike and Ike's candy and a Monster Jam truck from Phoebe....
And, some very cool KC Royals and Chicago Cubs baseball card displays from Mommy and Daddy.
Lastly, we went to Sonic and got some birthday treats. Silas choose a blue raspberry Nerds Slushie.
Happiest of birthdays to my baby. You are smart, funny, caring, competitive, and kind. You make me smile and my heart full. We love you very much, Silas!
We had some friends and relatives over a few days after Silas's birthday for wiffleball and cake. It was a hot Sunday afternoon. The boys took the field first and the girls were up to bat first.
It was close till the end, but the girls were able to pull ahead and win by one.
Popee, Uncle Dale, Uncle Charlie, and Johannah played a few rounds of corn hole.
Below, Silas and his friend, Abigail.
He received some nice gifts from his guests.
He wanted a Kansas City Chiefs cake this year.
Friends, below left to right, Knova, Deklan, Phoebe, Felicity, Silas, Sarah, Shawna, Elliott, and Abigail.
He got a few presents from Popee and Nanee later that day, some clothes, $100 to spend on activities he wants to participate in, and a Monster Truck Mover.
Thanks Popee and Nanee!
And, one more package came in the mail from Uncle Bret, Aunt Andrea, Kallin, and Ayden...the movie Space Jam, baseball cards, and a gift card. Thanks family!
