Phoebe's Party

A few days after Phoebe's birthday we had a small birthday party at our house.  Phoebe wanted to have some friends over, so we planned a few crafts and lunch.
Her friend, Alessondra brought the Bean Boozled game again this year for them all to play.
They divided into three teams.  Phoebe, Alessondra and Lila vs. Shawna, Haylee, and Molly vs. Eric.
There were some seriously disgusting jelly beans and some good jelly beans....but you never know which one you're going to get... You can tell by their faces and reactions captured in the pictures below that some were bad and some were good.
We gave them each a cup to spit the bad jelly beans back out in, if they needed it.
After Bean Boozled, we started on our crafts.  All of the girls each painted a canvas and painted two Christmas ornaments.
Silas painted too.
All of the canvas's turned out great!  After they dried the girls added on their favorite saying or a Bible verse, using a Sharpie marker.
After crafts we all ate pizza.
Then Phoebe opened her gifts from her friends.
She got some very nice gifts!
Below, the girls, from left to right, Haylee, Molly, Alessondra, Phoebe, Lila, and Shawna.
Time to blow out the candles!
All the girls had a fun few hours together.  It was a great party!

Her Birthday

We celebrated Phoebe's 9th birthday at the beginning of November.  Popee and Nanee joined us for the evening.  Phoebe picked to eat out at Long John Silver's.  She ate Shrimp and Hush Puppies.
After dinner we came back home and Phoebe opened her gifts.
She got an American Girl dog, Honey Buns, pretzels, some clothes, $100, and the Tenzi game from Popee and Nanee.
Sarah got her some Barbie furniture.
Silas got her a horse from the show Spirit.
Eric and I gave her a Grinch coloring book, a Cat book, the Never Girls Journal, and a Spirit Horse and Stable Set.
She got a Horse in the mail from Uncle Matt.
A pretty dress from Uncle EP, Aunt Lindsee, and cousin Will, and Legos from Grandma Sharon.
I made a brownie cookie cake for our birthday dessert.
Happy Birthday dear sweet Phoebe!
The next day a few more presents came in the mail... Another horse and coloring book from Uncle Matt.
And, a Lego set from Uncle Bret, Aunt Andrea, and cousins Ayden and Kallin.
We hope you had a great birthday Phoebe!  Keep being you... Our kind-hearted, gentle, caring girl.  You are such a blessing to those around you.  You are a good friend and a good role model.  I love your silliness and your sneaky orneriness.  You are a good helper and worker.  I appreciate you helping me cook and clean around our house.  I love spending time with you sweet girl.  I love you!
love, Mommy
