The Necklace For OUR Cause

This necklace is even more inspiring and beautiful in person!  I cannot wait to wear mine.  The necklace was designed and is being made by The Rusted Chain jewelry for our cause.  Our cause is MS or Multiple Sclerosis.  Orange is the MS color and the words... strength, courage, and hope are all words that someone with MS, or those who love someone with MS, may think and say on a regular basis when confronting the day to day battles with this disease.

MS is an unpredictable and devastating disease that can attack any of us in the prime of life.  Imagine one day you are ready to take on the world… and the next day you can’t move or you’ve lost your vision.  Many people right in our own communities are faced with the diagnosis of this incurable and debilitating disease.  

Why is OUR cause MS you may be asking...?

My Mom, Gloria Hastings, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about 2 years ago.  Since being diagnosed my mom has taken medicine to help keep her MS symptoms controlled.  Currently she is taking Copaxone nightly by injections.  We have a Walk MS team, "Go For Gloria", and will be participating in the Emporia Walk MS in April.   I along with several family members and close friends are raising funds and walking in her honor.  She, of course, does not want any attention, but I want to show her some of the support and love that she has shown me, and countless others, over many years.
