Women's World 2012

Over the past weekend I got to go to one of my favorite towns... Manhattan, Kansas!  I attended Manhattan Christian College's 35th annual Women's World conference.  The theme for the conference was "One Size Fits All!"

The Keynote Speaker was Thelma Wells.  She spoke to us all during three Keynote sessions.  The first titled "Fix Your Hair", the second "Pad Your Heart", and the third "Tighten Your Girdle".  She is a gifted author, public speaker, and storyteller.  She is a speaker for the Women of Faith Tour, and has authored several books, including God is Not Through With Me yet, an inspiring examination of her own life experiences in which she encourages readers to "sing in the closets of their lives".  To find out more about Thelma Wells and her ministry click on the following link  www.thelmawells.com

For the second year in a row one of my most favorite parts of the conference was the live worship music.  The MCC Band is fantastic, and it is awesome to hear all of the 700 plus ladies in attendance at the conference singing joyfully together!

What a refreshing weekend spent with some fabulous ladies.  My Mom is one of those ladies... she got to go too.  She met us in Manhattan.  Mom and I shared a hotel room with two great ladies... Nancy and Melissa, it was fun!  And my car ride there and back, great conversations and good company... Mary, Nancy and Melissa, thanks!
