A few weeks ago Eric and I were approached by a couple at our church... They told us they had a wooden playset in their yard that was not played with anymore, and would we like it? We had actually been talking about getting something bigger for the girls, but they are just so expensive... so this came at just the right time for us. We are very grateful to this couple for thinking of our family!
Eric went to their house and took it apart and brought it back to ours and reassembled it. It needed just a small amount of repairs, that Eric could easily do, and we added on a few things that the girls requested. It did have a red tarp on the top, but we opted to leave it off and Eric put a nice wooden roof on instead. This looks so much neater and will last a lot longer.
Here is the tower part. The girls call this their "Clubhouse". We added on a new yellow slide, telescope, steering wheel, and picnic table and bench to the "Clubhouse".
The couple gave us this fun pink glider with the set. Phoebe especially likes it!
Sarah requested the blue telescope. The day Eric added it on in the top of the Clubhouse, Sarah sat up there and looked through it, "spying" on different things in our neighborhood for about thirty minutes. I suggested the yellow handles in the back by the ladder. They work great for grabbing onto as the girls are climbing up or down.
Eric added this picnic table and bench underneath the Clubhouse. It works great for actually eating, or pretending to eat, taking a sitting break, or other fun things.
Sarah really wanted this trapeze bar and handles. Popee decided to get it for her. She can do LOTS of "tricks" on it already... climbing up, hanging upside down, flipping down off of it, sitting on top, pull-ups, and jumping down.
A view from the back... climbing up...
Phoebe climbing up and using the yellow steering wheel that she requested.
Sliding down the new slide...
This will provide a lot of fun for all three of our children for many years. Thank you Tom and Sue!
