Smith Center Trip

**GUEST BLOGGER**
 ~ Eric Hendrickson ~

I recently completed a hospital project in Smith Center, Kansas.  Their Open House was on August 5th so I asked the family to go to it with me.
On our way, we visited two exciting places.  The first was the largest Ball of Twine in Cawker City.  I have driven by this a hundred times and never stopped.  Pretty cool.  I am surprised no trouble raising kid has ever set this ball on fire.
The next place was the geographical center of the United States located near Lebanon.
I had been here once before.
I think the kids liked this one better than the ball of twine.
My boss, Spencer (right) and I, took a picture with the head of the Board, Kenton Weltmer.  He wore a Hutton hard hat the entire time and said many nice things about us during his speech.  Kenton and the rest of the board and county commissioners were very involved in this project.  A great group to work with.
The kids enjoyed the free snow cones.
The building looked great and the turnout was more than expected (over 800).  Everyone was very appreciative of the work we did.  I will miss working on this project and wish the best for the people of Smith Center.
