Day 1 - Wednesday
We went to Fort Worh, Texas to see my side of the family for Thanksgiving.
The first day we ate lunch, had dessert, and headed over to Bass Pro Shop/Cabela's.
Looking at the live fish swimming below...
The five cousins (above) before they got reprimanded by a worker for leaning over the rocks.
There was a special area set up for kids to try out toys, shop, and meet Santa.
Silas loved the off road remote control monster truck.
The girls played in the fake sand.
The dads and the kids thought the aquarium was cool.
They all visited with Santa. Wow, they are all smiling!
The Hendricksons are always up for competition. We played basketball and football at the park by Grandma Sharon's house before dinner.
Day 2 - Thursday, Thanksgiving Day
The next day we all were signed up to run in a 5k and 1 mile Thanksgiving event.
Bret, Andrea, Kallin, Silas and I decided to run the 1 mile race. Silas was talking some trash before the 1 mile run, saying he was going to leave me behind and beat me.
True to his word, Silas left me behind. He ran an 8:20 mile, mine was about 10 seconds slower. Bret finished just ahead of me. Then Andrea, she was pumped to finish her mile.
Stacee, Sarah, Phoebe, and Ayden picked to run the 5k.
Phoebe and Stacee ran together and finished in 29:22. A good time for not preparing, and Phoebe never running one before. Stacee said Phoebe never stopped during the entire 3.1 miles, just kept right on running. Good job Phoebe!
You won't see any pictures of Sarah because I wasn't ready for her when she ran by me. I figured no one would come in until after about 27 minutes. Sarah came in at 24:30. The fastest time run by any of my family in the last few years. Impressive!
After a great Thanksgiving meal and while the older brothers and Mom were watching football, the rest of the clan went Black Friday shopping, minus the two youngest kids. They conveniently left them at Mom's house with us.
Day 3 - Friday
The girls all went to get pedicures on Friday morning. I think Bret wanted to go too.
Grandma Sharon with her 5 grandkids - Sarah (11), Ayden (9), Phoebe (9), Silas (6), and Kallin (5).
We left on Friday around 1:30 so we could make it to the Thanksgiving gathering in Lucien, Oklahoma with Stacee's family. It was a fun trip. Love you all.
