January Fun

Jessee got a new rope toy for Christmas from us.  You can clearly see from the pictures below how excited she was...
The kids and I went to see Frozen 2 while they were still out of school for Christmas break.  We all liked it.
My besties and I went on an overnight Oklahoma trip.  We left on a Friday afternoon and drove to Tulsa.  We ate good Mexican food that night for dinner and stayed up way to late talking about life, kids, husbands, work, and more life.
The next morning we got up and headed to Pawhuska to visit the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, eat a delicious lunch, and visit the Pioneer Woman's Lodge.
We had a great time and ate way to much food...but it was all so good....
We each may have bought some desserts to bring home to our families too.
Below, Traci, me, and Mandy at the Lodge on the Drummond Ranch.
Below are two items that I saw at the Lodge that I would love to have.  A floral Pioneer Woman knife set (red handles) and a floral Pioneer Woman mixer/beater set.  So, if you are looking for a gift for me....here it is, two ideas...hint hint.

We got a box of Cheryl's Christmas Cookies delivered to us in December.  Eric has a cousin who gifts this to us each year.  We look forward to decorating them together and then eating them over the next couple days.  Thanks Venus!!!
Eric got to go to a football game at Arrowhead Stadium with some of his co-workers.  It was a cold day, but he had a great time!  This was the game that the Chiefs got down early in the first and second quarter, then made an amazing comeback to beat the Houston Texans.
Jessee gets to come inside on very cold days and nights.  She does a pretty good job of staying right in our entryway on a rug or going into her dog kennel to lay down.  Sometimes she likes to try and bring her toys inside with her...like her rope toy and some big sticks.
Dad, Mom, Uncle Ernie, and Aunt Judy came to visit us in mid-January.  Dad showed up in his Buffalo Plaid... We were "twinning" and hadn't even planned it.
They got to watch four basketball games with us on Saturday morning.
Ernie and Judy brought a Scavenger Hunt with them for the kids to participate in around our house.  It involved following clues and putting puzzles together to get to a prize.

At the end they found a gift that they unwrapped together....
A family season pass to Tanganyika Wildlife Park!  Thank you Uncle Ernie and Aunt Judy!
Phoebe had made a patriotic pillow for them too.
