Instead of playing Phoebe in the 3rd-4th grade division, we decided to play Phoebe ulp to the 5th-6th grade division. This would allow me to coach with Coach Ro for his last year with his daughter, Bella, and Phoebe to play with Abigail. Phoebe played alright this season but seemed tentative playing against these older girls.
Game #1 against Haysville #1 (H1)
Team pictures were today right before our first game. We were out our best player, Mylie, and lost to another good Haysville team.
Above, top row left to right, Coach Eric, Madilyn, Christina, Bella, Coach Ro. Bottom row, left to right, Natalie, Mykenzie, Abigail, and Phoebe.
Game #2 against Mulvane #1 (M1) and #3 against M2
Neither of these Mulvane teams gave us much competition. We won both games easily.
Coach Kris also helped out this year.
Game #4 against Haysville #4 (H4)
We played another Haysville team without Mylie. We lost again. Thankfully it was the last game of the season that Mylie missed and our last loss of the season.
Phoebe plays really good defense.
Game #5 against Haysville #2 (H2)
This Haysville team was not nearly as good as the other Haysville teams.
Coach Ro and I were coaching both Upward basketball and HAC basketball. Ro was at this game for the first half and I made it for most of the 2nd half. Coach Kris helped hold down the fort.
Game #6 against Clearwater #2 (C2)
Due to a conflict with Upward games, I was not able to be at the last game against Clearwater. I recall we held Clearwater to 2 points this game.
End of Season Party
We oddly did not have a game scheduled for our last week of the basketball season so we decided to use our last scheduled practice for an end of the season party. We ate pizza and played parents vs the kids. It was a good season and I wish the best for our (4) graduating 6th graders (sitting on the stage), Madilyn, Mylie, Christina, and Bella.
