I helped coach Silas's team with Dustin Musgrove. He was Silas's Upward coach last year (he is also my Chiropractor). Dustin is a great coach and I used much of our offense and defense that we ran with my 5th/6th grade girls team. We had an undefeated season with only one tie our second game. Silas played really well. He was the "go to" player and our leading scorer.
Game #1 - 12/7/19

Most teams only had a girl or two. Half of our team was girls.

Silas was one of the few kids in the league that could do full speed layups.
He played great defense and had a lot of steals.
I enjoyed being on the bench with the kids keeping them focused and motivated.
Game #5 - 1/18/20
The team took pictures with some of the Campus Highschool players who came to watch our kids play today. The player next to Silas (gray pants) is Sterling Chapman, a Junior at CHS. You will likely be seeing him playing Division 1 basketball in a few years, hopefully with the KSU Wildcats.
Game #6 - 1/25/20
End of Season Party
I had to coach my Upward team so I missed the end of season party. The kids all ate pizza and brownies, then had free time to shoot around.
