Thirty-Something

About a week and a half ago I had a birthday.  It was nice.  We ate out at my favorite fast food mexican place... Taco Bueno, and had some ice cream cake from DQ to celebrate.
I got this fabulous K-State watch from Eric that I absolutely love!  The girl's got me a beautiful ceramic turkey and some new red kitchen scissors.
Then the next day my parents and brother came to celebrate again with us... We all went out to eat together at the Olive Garden, where we all had the Never Ending Pasta Bowl, except Matt, who had a chicken dish.  It was delicious and fun.  Sarah drank too much apple juice, but I won't talk about that.  Then we came back to our house to eat a super yummy cake that I had requested that my Dad make for my thirty-something birthday.
Mom remembered that I wanted a "KANSAS" magazine subscription and that one of my favorite stores to shop for clothes for myself is CATO.  And, dad made me a new cutting board and a beautiful stained glass cross.  (I tell you, he is a man of many talents!  Gardener, Woodworker, Cake Maker and Decorator, Snow Skier and Water Skier Extraordinaire, Mr. Fix-it...)
I got some great cards this year.  The make me cry award for the try to make your sister cry card goes to Lindsee.  Thanks Lindsee.  I may or may not have sniffled a little while reading it.  The most funny card award goes to my brother Matt.  Here is a look at what he found for me... It is perfect!  (There is a slight inside joke here, about a time I declared that the word A$$ was no longer a bad word in our family, then proceeded to use the word over and over in various sentences in front of mom.  Hilarious stuff and a memory that still makes me smile and laugh out loud when I think of it. And, by the way... A$$ will always be one of my favorite words.)
Thanks Family for a great thirty-something birthday!
