Back in February while we were shopping at a party supply store, Sarah and I found the St. Patrick's Day aisle... She had fun trying on lots of green things. We even got Popee to try on a hat too!
We are not Irish. We can trace some of our family roots back to a couple different countries. On my Dad's side of the family - Hastings roots back to England, Loger and Holman to Germany. On my Mom's side of the family - Kienholz roots back to Switzerland.
Sarah has been looking forward to today because they learned some about it during the last week of school. She has been talking about wearing green, pinching people, eating green food, and looking for clovers for days. (She was been very excited to play along with some of the silly St. Paddy's day things.)
So get your green on today! Pinch your friends and family members if they forgot to wear their green. Watch out for those Leprechauns! Look for that 4-leaf clover or follow a rainbow to find your pot-o-gold. Whatever you do on this green-loving day, have fun.
And, Happy St. Patrick's Day ~ from the (not quite Irish) "Princess"!
