96, 96, 9-9-96. We had our 20 year class reunion on Saturday, July 9, out at Ryan Schmidt's house (thanks for hosting Ryan and Leanna). After our barbecue meal (thanks for bringing the meat Selena and Justin), we took some class pictures.
Girls Left to Right: Lisa, Jennifer, Heather, Selena, Stacy, Lisa, Heather (not pictured, left before pictures were taken, Shannon)
Guys Left to Right: Aaron, Eric, Ben, Cory, BJ, Ryan, Zach, Joe, Josh (not pictured, left before pictures were taken, Daily, Jason)
We had 19 out of the 27 classmates in attendance. I thought this was a great turnout.
This was the first reunion I have been to and I had a great time. There was a lot of conversation and reminiscing. It was funny to hear individual stories about feeling old. Jason's hurting his arm throwing rocks and Zach's hurting his knee weed whacking were funny and made my foot issues playing softball seem less troubling than what they are.
The kids were given opportunities to ride horses. This was a highlight for our girls.
Josh and I are good buds. I had thought about wearing my Seniors shirt but realized Stacee had made all of my old high school shirts into a Olpe t-shirt quilt for me a few years ago.
After the barbecue, we took the kids up to Stacee's parents. Stacee and I made it back to down to Olpe to watch Cory and his softball team win the championship game in the softball tournament. Then, we went down to the street dance and met up with a handful of our classmates. We had a good time, one may have had too much of a good time (Josh). Pictured above at the street dance, left to right, Joe and Dusty, Justin and Selena, Josh and Katie, Myself and Stacee, Cory and Destinee.
