T-Ball 2016 - Second Half

**GUEST BLOGGER**
 ~ Eric Hendrickson ~

Game 7 - June 8th
There was both a softball game and tball game this evening in Haysville.  I left the softball game a little early, which we won 15-1, to coach our tball team.  I wasn't well prepared.  I forgot the line-up and had not set up any coaching help for the game.
Kaelie's dad, Ally's dad, and Baylee's dad helped out.  Thanks guys.
Phoebe, as did all the girls, hit the ball hard.  She even had one of her hits make it out to the outfield.
Phoebe played pitcher one inning and threw out a runner at 1st base.  She was very excited about this!
Popee and Nanee made it to watch the Yellow Jackets play a great game.

Game 8 - June 14th
We had both a softball and tball game tonight at 6pm.  Thankfully, they were both in Haysville and our dugouts were only 20' apart.
I called on Ally's and Kaelie's dad to help this evening.  Thanks guys.  Above, I am setting the girls down on the bench in their hitting order.  Notice the rubberband bracelet on my wrist made by Sarah.  It has the yellow tball team color and the blue softball team color.
Hayden and Phoebe with pretty smiles.
Phoebe hit hard tonight.  Her best hit was a hard line drive that was caught by the pitcher.  It was a great play.  She also had another hard hit that went past the outfielder.  She got a double.
The girls played well tonight and had fun.
My two sluggers and future slugger.

Game 9 - June 16th
On the hottest night of tball of the year, Phoebe played a great game.
She hit a hard line drive that was somehow caught by the pitcher.  It was a great play by the pitcher.
Phoebe also smashed another ball out into the outfield.

Phoebe played pitcher, outfield, and first base.
Mike, Grandma Great, Grandma Sharon, Popee, and Nanee all watched the game.  She played the best game of the season for her largest audience.

Game 10 - June 21st
Well, it was our last game tonight, and we saved our best for last.
We were missing two girls from our team picture:  Ally and Baylee.  Baylee showed up a few minutes after the game had started.  From left to right: Coach DJ, Hayden, Kaelie, Kali, Emma, Haylee, Marlie, Phoebe, Coach Eric, and Sophia
Phoebe played Pitcher, Shortstop, and Second Base.
Our team recorded 7 outs.  This is far more that we had gotten in a game previously.
Phoebe hit the ball hard for her three times at bat.
Coach DJ left after the 2nd inning to go to Clearwater for the softball pre game.  I was at the tee for the final at bat for each girl.  I told them it was their last at bat and to make it their best at bat.
Phoebe started off with a hard ground ball to the outfielder.  We ended up getting 5 doubles on the last at bat.
Good job girls!
Look at those smiling faces.  I had a great time coaching these girls.  I wish them all the best in their future softball endeavors.  God bless you, girls.

TEAM ICE CREAM PARTY!
After the final softball game, we had our Tball Ice Cream Party.  All the girls were there.  I handed out a personalized picture album to each of them, (Stacee took pictures at practices and at all the games of the girls.  Then made an album for each girl.) and we talked about moving up to machine pitch softball next year.  These are a good group of girls with a lot of promise.  Hopefully, Coach DJ and I will be coaching them again next year in machine pitch softball.
