Our Christmas decorations and trees looked especially good this year in our old farmhouse. It was our second Christmas living here. Last year we were barely moved in and didn't even have our kitchen done when Christmas arrived. This year though, we were able to get out so many more of our decorations and enjoy the holidays.
The kids woke up by about 8:30 Christmas morning. The girls woke up first, then they woke up Silas.
Checking in their stockings.....
The kids stockings were filled with candy, cd's, games, legos, baseball cards, lotions, and spray perfumes this year.
Eric and I got some other things in ours... Beef Jerky, undies, flashlights.
After looking in our stockings, the kids passed out our other gifts to each other. We also had gifts under our tree that were from our family in Texas.
Sarah made Eric some more of the scripture pictures for a book that she started last year for him He loved it!
Phoebe gave Sarah an Ice Cream Float Soda Set.
Below, the kids with some of their gifts from our Texas family....
More gifts below from Texas....
Phoebe gave me this cute KSU Wildcats pillow.
A new KC hat, the Small Foot dvd, and a giant Slinky.....
Sarah gave me a new outfit. I love the colors.
Silas got Phoebe another Spirit horse.
Sarah gave Phoebe a 300 piece cat puzzle.
Sarah gave Silas some Lego sets.
Silas gave Sarah a Quilt Making Kit.
Silas was super excited to give Eric this KSU totem pole that he picked out at a Sports store in the mall. He also wants to take Eric back there badly so that they can look around together. Phoebe loved the new Farmer Barbie that she got from us.
Phoebe gave Eric these new KC Chiefs Corn Hole bean bags. He loved them too.
Phoebe gave Silas some Monster Jam trucks.
Another gift from Texas, a coffee grinder and coffee beans.
Sarah asked for "art stuff" for Christmas, so Eric and I got a box and put all kinds of art kits and supplies in it for her.
From Texas family, I got a new addition to my Torquay Pottery collection! A beautiful old pot decorated with a handpainted windmill. What a fantastic gift! Eric liked his new Cubs hoodie from me.
Sarah also gave Eric an new KSU shirt.
It was fun to watch Silas open his big gift last. He had no idea what it was, but as he began to rip the paper off the box and figured it out his excitement grew and grew.
It's a big new 4x4 remote controlled truck!
He couldn't wait to get this out of the box, charge the batteries, and try it out!
The rest of our day was spent playing with new toys and enjoying being at home all day with each other.
Merry Christmas!
