In 2014 Eric started taking the girls on "Daddy Daughter Dates". The girls got to take turns going on a date with Daddy throughout the year. It is a time that each girl looked forward to when it is their turn to go on a date with Daddy. When it is their turn they get to think of something fun that they want to go and do with Daddy. Silas got to start going on dates with Daddy too in 2016. This has been fun for Eric and our kids to do together. They get to have one on one time and lots of attention from Daddy.

September - Date with Silas
Camping
Well, the business of working on the house has lessened and I realized it was time that I catch up on some Daddy dates with the kids. Silas and I decided to have a camp out on the property.
Against Stacee's wishes, I started a fire. Camping has campfires.
We enjoyed sitting in front of the campfire. We had hot chocolate and some terrible impromptu smores. These smores consisted of cinnamon graham crackers, tootsie rolls, and old marshmallows. I choked mine down and Silas fed his to the fire. It ate it quickly.
After the smores, we went into the tent to play games. The Sorry game was quite intense. There should have been no way I lost that game, but as you can see from the picture above, I was a few spots short. Silas also beat me at Uno and a matching card game. I think with all the games we played, I only won one matching card game.
No air mattresses for us; we slept on sleeping bags only. We made it through the entire night, but my back wasn't happy with me the next morning. We had a great time. Thanks Buddy.

September - Date with Phoebe
Cowtown and Braum's
Phoebe and I went to Cowtown for our date. Phoebe had never been before and I had only been one other time with Sarah.
I took an ok selfie in the van and a not so good selfie in the parking lot.
It was interesting to see what furniture cost back in 1863.
There was a shootout re-enactment that was fun to watch. We also liked going through the old houses, school, and doctor office.
We finished with a big ice cream at Braums. Thanks for a fun date Phoebe.

October - Date with Sarah
All Star Sports and Braum's
Sarah and I went on a spur of the moment date to All-Star sports.
We got $20 worth of tokens and started earning our tickets.
Deal or No Deal was a favorite. We won anywhere from (1) ticket (the worst) to (200) tickets (the best). Sarah had some fun facial expressions.
We also shot some baskets.
We got a majority of our tickets from this clown throw game. Not sure if you are supposed to be able to have two people throwing at once, but we did. We got the maximum amount of points a number of times and actually ran the machine out of tickets. We would get 100s at a time. We ended up with about 2000 tickets which bought a few toys. Our $20 in coins got about $2 in toys.
Phoebe and I went to Cowtown the weekend after I took Silas. Note that the glasses are back on.
We enjoyed going out to the farm and we watched the "Night before Christmas" re-enactment. Just like with Silas, Phoebe and I ended our date at Braum's.

We ended our date with a huge (especially Sarah's) ice cream cone. I enjoyed our date Sarah a "Good Deal".
December - Date with Silas
Victorian Christmas at Cowtown
I took Sarah to Cowtown Christmas last year, so I decided to take Phoebe and Silas this year. Silas was the first to go.
It was a cold night. You can see I was experimenting with contacts. That lasted a few days.
The parking lot was full so we parked a long way away.
The entire Cowtown is modeled in the Information building. Pretty cool. Speaking of cool, the hot chocolate hit the spot.
We watched a re-enactment of the "Night before Christmas"
Thankfully the line to see Santa was short.
That big fireplace warmed us up nicely.

Again, it was cold and we had to park a long way from the entrance.
Phoebe thought the bowling alley was cool.
Phoebe wants to be a doctor, so seeing the doctor's office was cool. We listened to some Christmas music and joined in by playing the bells for "Jingle Bells".
