Throughout the year Eric takes our children on dates. This allows him to spend some one on one time with our children outside of our home. Each date is planned by us and them. We like to try to think of fun things that we wouldn't normally do as a family or things that we have never done and those things get to be special dates. Each one of our children look forward to these dates throughout the year.

Sunday February 10th - Date with Phoebe
-Harlem Globetrotter's at Intrust Bank Arena and Braums-
It was Sarah's turn for a date, but she didn't want to go to the Harlem Globetrotters but Phoebe was excited to go.
I told Phoebe on the way there that I went to the Globetrotters when I was about her age and now she gets to go. Guessing the Globetrotters will still be around when Phoebe has kids.
Selfy outside of Intrust Bank Arena before we went in.
Phoebe and I had closer seats but decided to move back about 10 rows where no one was sitting.
There were some high flying dunks.
And there were some funny skits. This may be shocking but the Globetrotters won. I think they mentioned that they had never lost.
We had a pretty good time but it wasn't as cool as I remember it being.
We ended our date at Braum's for ice cream. Thanks for the fun date Phoebe and the opportunity to relive a childhood memory.

Saturday February 23rd - Date with Silas
-Monster Jam at Intrust Bank Arena and Braums-
Silas and I were excited to go to Monster Jam at Intrust Bank Arena
We had great seats.
Silas and I had our ear protection ready. There were 8 of the trucks present. The Zombie flew up in the air and broke an axle on the landing. Many of the trucks had missing hoods because they lost them in the show they had earlier in the day.
The Gravedigger was the fan favorite and was very impressive with its tricks.
Scooby Do had a woman driver.
When a truck stalled out, the big Cat machinery would have to come and move them.
Not only do the drivers challenge each other in the big trucks, they also do go carts and 4 wheelers.
After each truck took their turn with the jumps and tricks, the fans could vote on our phones their score. Silas and I had fun voting.
We had a great time at Monster Jam. I may have had more fun than Silas. We ended our date with ice cream at Braums.
Sunday, April 14th - Date with Sarah
-Rec Center and Dairy Queen-
Sarah loves basketball and to swim so what better place to go than the Derby Rec. Center.
We had a free throw shooting contest that I dominated.
We also played a game of 1 on 1. I barely won.
We played several games of Horse in the pool and climbed the rock wall several times. I did some dives on the diving board, but Sarah didn't jump off the board.
We finished our date with some ice cream at Dairy Queen. Sarah got a large blizzard and I got a dipped cone. Gotta replenish all those calories we burned.

Friday, September 6th- Date with Phoebe
-All Star Sports and Dinner-
All Star Sports is a popular Daddy date place. Phoebe had free miniature golfing coupons and tokens for us to use.
Phoebe caught on to putting quickly. Nice form.
I started off with a hole in one. You can see we had a lot of 2s and 3s. Phoebe played great.
We got a good amount of tickets. Too bad they don't buy much.
We finished with a meal and dessert at Freddies.
Friday, November 1st - Date with Silas
-All Star Sports and Dinner-
Silas and I started out our date by smashing an old laptop together. Then we followed it up with another date at the popular All Star Sports.
Silas also had free miniature golf tickets.
Silas did well and seemed to enjoy it.
We had pizza and drinks (its only an extra $5 on Friday nights). All the eating areas were taken down stairs so we ate upstairs. You can see the floor below and Silas didn't like it. He is a little afraid of heights.
We did a lot of Deal or No Deal and the Clown game. Silas got a cool Nerf type bow and arrow and a snake with his tickets.
We ended with ice cream at Braums.
Friday, November 15th - Date with Sarah
-All Star Sports and Dinner-
Third date in a row at All Star Sports. Time to go knock down some clowns.
We got a lot of tickets from the Clown game. And ended up with 2000 tickets. Sarah decided to save them to get a big prize by combining them with the tickets we get at our next Daddy date.
It is fun to watch Sarah's facial expressions on Deal or No Deal
We talked strategy before Deal or No Deal. I said if I was down to the last two boxes with one of them having 1 ticket (minimum) and the other 200 tickets (maximum) and they offered a deal of 100 tickets that I would not take it. Sarah said she would. She had a similar opportunity with a choice of taking 110 tickets or taking the chance of either getting 15 tickets or 200 tickets. She didn't take the deal and ended up with 15 tickets.
We saw that Arby's had a new S'Mores shake. The lobby was closed because it was after 10pm, so we went through the drive thru. Great date night with Sarah.
