Sarah made the 7th grade basketball team. (Like there was ever any doubt.) There was no time between the volleyball season ending and basketball starting though... And, with the seasons so close together there was only about 6 basketball practices before their first game. Sarah had a good season. She practiced hard and played hard. She played good defense every game and is still a fantastic shooter! She was her team's go-to 3 point shooter, and made a good percentage of her free throws. She was awardeed the High Scorer Award at the end of the season for her team, from her coaches. Learning to play with new girls and coming together as a team can be a challenge for everyone. Towards the middle of the season we could see improvements in the team's play and how the girls were starting to work together as a team instead of individually. It was a rough season as far as wins/losses, but the girls came together in the end and played their hearts out. Below are some pictures from each game during the season.

Game #2 against HMS
This was a game that the girls were looking forward to. In our town there are two middle schools. This was the day that the girls would face-off against each other.
We got the victory over the rival hometown middle school.
Below, these three were teammates last year in 6th grade, but had to play against each other today. (Kenna, Savannah, and Sarah.) Sarah and Savannah have been friends since Kindergarten.
Popee and Nanee met us in El Dorado to cheer on Sarah and her team.
