Thanksgiving 2019

This year we went to Fort Worth for Thanksgiving.  We left Tuesday, late afternoon, and arrived at Bret's house in Fort Worth around 11:30pm.
The kids woke up to a great breakfast cooked by Bret and Andrea.
On Wednesday we went to the Ross Perot Museum in downtown Dallas.  There was a lot of cool things to see.  Creative picture above.
Silas and Ayden raced Jamaal Charles.
The kids saw how long they could suspend themselves off the ground.
After the museum, we went down to the Stockyards in Fort Worth to watch the moving of the longhorns.
As you can see, it was cold.
When we left the Stockyards we met Marc and Mom for dinner, at a nearby Mexican restaurant.  After dinner Andrea drove her carload of passengers through downtown Fort Worth so that they all could see the Christmas lights and this beautiful Christmas tree.
Back at Bret and Andrea's house that night we enjoyed the fireplace and some smores.  The kids all liked getting to have a cousin sleepover for three nights.
Some of the kids helped Stacee and Andrea with the food preparations.  The guys and Mom watched football.
The kids all helped decorate the tablecloth.
Impressive job with the dinner ladies.  Everything was great!
Uncle Tom came over and had dinner with us.
After dinner, Bret and I helped clean-up and put the food away.  Thanks for a great Thanksgiving and hosting us Bret and Andrea.

We left for Branson on Friday morning.
It was cold and rainy when we arrived in Branson that evening.  We checked into our hotel and headed straight to Silver Dollar City.
The lights were wonderful.  I love that Branson is not ashamed of glorifying God.
I can't remember this pianist's name (above), but he is incredible.  Piano is not even his main instrument.
After a couple of cold hours at SDC we went back to our hotel so that the kids, and I could enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub for awhile. I love when the hotels have a hot tub.  The next morning, after breakfast, we headed back to Silver Dollar City.
Saturday was a beautiful day in Branson.  When its beautiful, its crowded at SDC.  We did manage to ride some rides, saw a few more shows, and walked around and saw the beautiful Christmas decorations and lights.
I really enjoy this quartet, "Spoken 4".  Not only do I love their singing, I love the Christian message and example of these men.  (The closest man looks a lot like Stacee's brother, Matt.)  We have heard them sing a couple other times at SDC and they are good.
It was Phoebe's birthday month, so she got the birthday perks given by Silver Dollar City, which included a free ice cream cone.
Our family loves Silver Dollar City.  Not only does it have great views, rides, and entertainment, it is a place you can go where Jesus is celebrated.  Let us all be thankful for our Lord and Savior and remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas.
