Phoebe had a great month of school in April. She is getting a LOT better at cutting. She can stay on the line and close to it with her scissors, cutting round shapes and shapes with corners.
The rainbow that she made, (pictured below) was on display at the district art fair. She made it by dipping her fingers in paint then putting her fingerprints in between the lines of the rainbow.
She continues to take something for Show and Tell time on Thursdays. Some of the things she took this month were (letter E) earthworms, (letter I) the instructions to a game, and (letter D) dandelions. We like that her class has a show and tell time. It is helping Phoebe to become braver when talking to and in front of her peers, and it is teaching her to speak louder.
She has been singing some songs at home lately that she has learned at school. Some of these songs are a days of the week song (song to the tune of the Adams Family theme song), a months of the year song (song to the tune of the Macarana), and a song about saying goodbye to her friends at the end of each school day. It goes like this (sung to the tune of If Your Happy and You Know It) *waving - Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends. *clap clap *waving - Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends. *clap clap. When it's time to say goodbye give a smile and wink your eye. Oh it's time to say goodbye to our friends.*clap clap.
