The night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Christmas morning the kids got up between 7-8am and we headed downstairs to look in our stockings and open our Christmas gifts.
We all got some snacks and a cd in our stockings. We also found chapstick, lotion, dvds, necklaces, and some tools.
Phoebe and Sarah worked hard to make some very meaningful gifts for relatives this year.
Phoebe gave Silas these fun karaoke microphones.
Silas gave Sarah a cool basketball tshirt.
Silas gave Phoebe a new big Sloth blanket.
Belle got a stuffed Squirrel.
Above and below, the super ornament that Sarah made for me.... the front is a great picture of my Mom and I, and on the back is a poem called, "My First Christmas In Heaven". (tear-jerker)
Sarah gave Silas a great K-State blanket.
Below, Phoebe made me this cool Rudolph ornament. She wood burned it and then painted it. A-Mazing and thoughtful! She knows that Rudolph is my favorite childhood Christmas movie.
Below, Phoebe also made this for me by wood burning and painting. My middle name is "Noel", (specially picked by my Mom and Dad) so I have a small collection of Christmas things that say Noel on them. So special and thoughtful!
Below is the scene that Phoebe wood burned and painted for Eric. Beautifully done!
Phoebe gave Sarah some new silver hoop earrings and a new hairbrush. Sarah gave her a cute Sloth bag.
After opening gifts we got ready for church, but before we could go, we took the kids out to the shop for one more Christmas surprise.... They were a little suspicious when Eric told them he needed their help moving a few things around in there.... Their suspicions were confirmed when they helped uncover two new kayaks! Merry Christmas kids!
At church, Silas got to read scripture to all the church-goers that morning. He went up front, read with confidence, and shared the words from the Bible with everyone there. Then we lit candles, all the kids went up front, and we sang "Silent Night".
