Phoebe - 7th Grade Basketball Season 2022

Phoebe made the 7th grade basketball team last October.  She made the A team and was a starter all season for her team.  Fun Fact, four of the five starters for their team all went to elementary school together and have been friends since Kindergarten, Phoebe, Haylee, Lila, and Shawna.  The fifth starter and high scorer for the team is Phoebe's friend, Jocelyn.  They had a great season, beating almost everyone they played at least once, except Prairie Hills and Wellington.  These girls grew and improved all season long and were exciting to watch.  Below are A LOT of pictures from throughout the entire season of Phoebe, her friends, and the team.  She was number 35.
Above, Shawna, Haylee, and Phoebe.
After the A game the girls always sat together on the bench and cheered on the B team.
Popee was able to come to several of Phoebe's games to watch and cheer her and her teammates on.

Phoebe had a game on her birthday.  After the game we took a couple pictures with Phoebe's friend Haylee and Phoebe's cheering section from that night.

This game against Clearwater was one of the best all season.  The girls worked hard for the win, played together, and played tough.  They played this Saturday game without Jocelyn because she had a prior commitment that day.  Phoebe jumped for her team that day.

Last games of the season - the end of season tournament.  We played and beat Eldorado first, then played and lost to Augusta.  Augusta has a GIANT girl, who towers over all the players on the court.  She doesn't have to jump for rebounds and can get easy under the basket shots due to her height.  Augusta is beatable when she is off and worn out.  In one of the last pictures below, you can see the size difference between Phoebe and the Augusta girl (#55) as they stand next to each other during free throws.
Below both of our girls with Coach Wright and Coach Whitney.  Both girls have been coached by these two.
