Fall Family Times 2022

IOWA

In October, I went to Iowa to see my dad in the hospital.  I also went to my nephew, Caleb's, football game.  They had a great year almost getting to the state finals.

Caleb hasn't had much communication with his Grandpa (my dad) throughout his lifetime.  I took Caleb to see Grandpa in the hospital.  After the visit, I dropped Caleb off at home and headed back to Kansas.  He is a great young man.

MINNESOTA

A few weeks after visiting my dad, my brothers and I flew to Minneapolis to see my sister, Chelsie, get married.  We arrived on Friday and left on Sunday.  

On Friday we met up with our cousin, Isaac, at the Mall of America.  We played some miniature golf.

I got a hole in one on the last hole and got a free game.  I was not the best putt putter though.

Mall of America is huge.  We did not ride any of the roller coasters but they were impressive.  So were the lego statues.

We did throw some axes.

We all threw well, but I was the champion.

On Saturday before heading to the wedding, we stopped at a place we lived about 35 years ago.

At the wedding, Marc caught the garter belt.

We didn't plan on staying long, but ended up being one of the last to leave at 10:30pm.  This was the first time we had met or talked to Chelsie's husband, Dustin.  He is in construction so we got along great.

Had a great time with my brothers and it was good to see my sister get married.  The brothers decided we need do a yearly trip to various destinations.  We shall see where we go in 2023.
