We got into Denver late night/ early morning. Our good friends Rex and Angie left the light on for us, so we let ourselves in and quickly all feel asleep. In the morning, after breakfast, we went over to my sister, Lindsee and Eric Paul's new house. It will be great when they get it all fixed up. The yard will be especially amazing! I can't wait for some fresh veggies from their garden and fruit from the trees and vines.
In the afternoon, Lindsee, Dad and Mom, Angie and her girls, Lexi and Avery, all went with us to the Downtown Denver Aquarium. It was fun to see all the huge tanks filled with fish, turtles, sharks, eels, starfish, and stingrays.
Sarah, Lexi, Eric, and my Dad all had fun touching and feeding the stingrays. Feeding them made Sarah nervous, but she still wanted to do it. Popee helped her hold the little dead fish and get her hand in the water, but as the stingray approached she wouldn't keep her hand in the water, so Popee took over.
I love this picture of the little girls watching the stingrays! Rex and Eric have been friends since elementary school (Rex was also Eric's Best Man in our wedding.), and now our girls are friends... Phoebe and Avery are about 3 months apart, and Sarah and Lexi are about 8 months apart. They look forward to seeing each other and always have a good time playing together in Colorado and in Kansas. That evening we had a delicious dinner at Rex and Angie's house. Fun was had by all... baseball, washers, toys, slides, chalks... bath time and the movie "Tangled", and all four little girls were asleep for the night.
