Sarah Games 9 & 10

Game #9 - Tuesday, June 12th, 8pm - Against Derby

I had a coaching conflict tonight, so I wasn't able to make this game.  I still haven't gotten to see Sarah pitch.

I was told it didn't go too well.  Sarah has a strong arm, but did not throw consistent strikes.  She pitched for three innings and struck out 4 batters.  She told Stacee after the game that she knew she needed to be pulled (moved to shortstop) and wished it would have happened sooner.

Sarah didn't have any hits but got hit a few times by the other pitcher to get on base.

I made it to the last few batters of the game.  We were down five runs.  We made a valiant effort to win but fell a few runs short.

Game #10 - Thursday, June 14th, 6pm - Against Winfield

I was coaching Silas's game and Phoebe's game so I missed Sarah's.  I won't get to see Sarah play anymore this year.

Winfield had their fast pitcher on the mound.

Sarah struck out and hit a ground out to first base.

Sarah played in an all day basketball clinic (this day) and then had this game in the 100 degree heat.  She was super tired but still put on a smile.

Nice moment with the coach.  We lost 12-3.
