Colorado Day Four - Tuesday

Tuesday was a day to stay at the cabin.  Phoebe did a lot of coloring in her coloring books and reading.
Both girls liked coloring on paper plates and colored several while we were there.
There was a little work to be done... cleaning, ant and spider killing, hanging new curtains (a BIG THANKS to my Mom and Vicki for making the new curtains!!! They look great!), and some minor repairs to the pump box.
The girls liked playing Washers....
Sarah went on a very long hike in the Pike National Forest with Eric.  They were gone for a few hours.
Here was a big hole that they discovered dug in the side of the mountain.  Bear den?  Yes, we are pretty certain this was indeed what they found.  Yikes!  I do not think they stayed around it for too long.  Sarah told me, "I went with Daddy to look at it and Daddy thought it was cool... but I did not think it was cool... What if a bear came?"
On their hike they also found this tadpole in a pond.  Sarah said, "There were a lot of them. Daddy taught me how to scoop them with my hands.  Daddy caught like ten of them and I caught one."
Sarah did some target shooting.  After shooting she liked to go and inspect the bottle, can, and jug to see if she really did in fact hit it.  She was surprising a pretty good shot!
Baths all around for three dirty kids.... And, stories before bed...
