Have you ever used one of these STUD finders? Or the STUDSENSOR Pro?
One of these appeared at our house the other day... I have this old ladder that is gong to be hung up in our master bedroom on the wall as a decoration, so my STUD thought he would use this STUD finder to help him get the job done. But, of course he needed to show me that it works... So, as I sat on the edge of our bed one morning this week watching him get ready for work, he casually picked up the STUD finder and began to run it up his side, then back down his leg... the silly thing started beeping. I started to giggle and he started his act of looking amazed, "Look at that", he exclaimed, "found a STUD". And, the scene repeated itself at least two more times before my giggles turned to full on laughter.
Now let's be serious for a moment. I did marry a STUD. This is a fact. But, I got so much more... funny, kind, patient, intelligent, hard-working, strong, gentle, athletic, loving, and warm are just some of the words that I can easily use to describe my STUD of a husband. I am thankful everyday for this STUD that loves me and our children unconditionally. I know without a doubt in my mind or heart, that he would do anything for me. That is my STUD! I do not need a STUD finder or the STUDSENSOR Pro to tell me what I've got, (even though it was a hilarious and spot on reminder).
I have many pictures of my STUD building things, playing with our children, of us together, and from our younger days, but two of my favorites of just my STUD are these two...
Moving on for a minute, let's look below at this little gem.
Apparently STUD finders come with some directions. Who knew? The STUDSENSOR Pro had a How-To Guide accompanying it. I took a little peek at it, just to see what it had to offer on how to use this handy tool.... I could go a lot of directions with this, but since children, church friends, and my parents may be reading this I will need to just point out one thing... #5. Recognize double or triple studs. Hahahaa! Really!?! I feel a few pictures are necessary here... So, here are some pictures that immediately came to my mind when I read #5. It is the "triple STUDS" that I think the How-To Guide, if read by myself or any other lady, could be referring to... See for yourself.
The Hendrickson boys... "Triple STUDS".
See what I mean? Yes, #5, I am recognizing the "Triple STUDS".
And, finally, here is my STUD using the STUD finder correctly, on the wall in our bedroom....
I absolutely love my STUD, especially when he is doing STUDly things around our house for me. Thanks Eric... you can just keep right on being my STUD until the end of time.... You're all I need, my love, my STUD, my Valentine.
